Talents
First things first, please always verify if the talent / recruiter you're dealing with is genuine. Our database is checked only for the contents of the showreel and nothing beyond it.
If you're looking to work with amazing talents, use the sheet below to find the potential candidate.
If you're a talent looking to have your showreel added to the database, fill the showreel form using the button below:
Guidelines for a good Showreel
We've listed down a few elements that you can have in your showreel video to make it easy for the audience to make a decision about hiring / working / collaborating with you. Remember, an unpolished showreel submitted in a hurry can be counterproductive. So we'd recommend you to be sure before you submit your showreel. Feel free to use our discord server to ask for feedback from fellow game audio community members: discord.gameaudio.in
[Optional] Introduction (as voice over or text on screen) – A 10-15sec info about yourself
[Compulsory] Audible output (with or without visuals) – One final output that the audience can listen to gauge your work as per their requirement. Consider adding only those audio layers that you yourself have worked on or chosen. For example, if you're only showcasing sound design, avoid adding a random music loop because that masks your actual work. However, if you're showcasing your ability to "choose a good music", feel free to use it but specifically mention (as text on screen or elsewhere) that it is not created by you and ensure that at least one part of the video showcases the work that you have created without other outsourced elements.
[Optional] Documentation Proof – Game audio document which explains the sounds used or the code implemented, etc. A document that will help you and others in the team to understand what you've done in the game
[Compulsory] Game Engine / Middleware Project Walkthrough (Implementation Proof) – A quick brief of showing your workflow, particularly covering game engine or middleware or both, and how you implemented the assets
[Optional] Any additional information – You can show any additional information here, such as your recording approach, or philosophy or collaboration experience in a game jam or DAW project walkthrough etc.
[Recommended] Timestamps – Mentioning timestamps for each of the above items in the YouTube video description can help the audience access the relevant parts quicker. Our Showreel form requires that as well.
